You have some good points here… I really hope that NI will continue to allow user's to share their presets and that my correspondence thus far has just been a misinterpretation of their own policy.

They have to!

Otherwise they will "bomb" their own foundations. To name 2 examples:

NKS presets are based on instrument presets. We have made thousands of them, some people even sell them. NI fully supported this, in fact they made me and Kymeia responsible mods for the NKS User library.

Reaktor presets and ensembles are based on Reaktor's engine. Thousands of them are shared for free and hundreds are for sale. For over 20 years!

I suspect the same applies for other apps too…

So, they can not just have a different policy for Massive. Its an enormous contradiction and a really ugly and illogical move. If it is true of course, which i highly doubt. I believe it was just a misinformed employee.

Note: Just to be clear, we are talking about unique presets!
If you try to sell just another "square bass" or another "electric piano", then by all means you deserve to be caught and punished! 😊😋

Cool, this makes me feel better! 😄 I followed up with support yesterday and brought up multiple examples of users selling their presets online. I'm waiting for their reply so we'll see what happens.

Indeed. That's why I was so disconcerted by the thought that they could have something like that written in their EULA.
