I did. didn't change anything. Like I said above, Hive does not use Kontakt and it does not work. So this is really everything that isn't loaded from KK anymore nor Maschine 3.

I did everything, including to reset the database. Does not work.

I will try tomorrow again a fresh install of my Mac for the last time. I lost one day of work, I can't afford a second one, so I'll use my PC that works fine for now (Thanks to god I didn't update anything for 6 months).

thank you anyway fir having tried to help me, much appreciated.

I know - but it looks like that is not being scanned in either - do you have both VST3 paths setup in KK settings?

Reinstalling your Mac seems unlikely to make a difference and is just a waste of your time and may cause more problems than it solves - it's just a case of finding the right solution for your situation - not using a sledgehammer to crack a nut

so, I restored my Mac again and…. Didn’t install my antivirus. Guess what ? It works.

I will let Native stuff downloading this night and see tomorrow morning if it still works, but I’m prettty sure that this is the cause of the issue. No idea why because I use it for a long time, but for any reason something goes wrong with it now. This is avast.

I’m sorry you spent your time while it wasn’t apparently connected with NI things. Really.

I’ll let you know tomorrow to confirm because it can be helpful for some others too.

    Thanks again

Well, thank you for coming back here to tell us about the antivirus interaction. I have not heard of issues caused by Avast, but I did use it on PC some 10 or 15 years ago, and it ended up borking something on my system so I switched. I just use the Microsoft internal one (I know, you're on a Mac, so doesn't apply).

But wait…I also have a Mac, and I don't recall ever installing an antivirus software on it. So I guess it's worth it for me to ask you…what makes you believe you need Avast on your Mac?

Mainly because I often work with Windows files, .exe essentially. I receive and transfer them regularly. And I’ve also heard that while malware on Mac is less common than on Windows, it does exist.

Regarding the Windows file issue, I can work around it by using an online antivirus when needed, and for the rest… I guess I just need to stay cautious.

That said, I’m a bit surprised, because Avast has never caused me any problems with earlier versions of KK. I have to admit that since version 3, I’ve run into quite a few issues — not as serious as this one, but still. I would happily reinstall version 2.9.4, which always worked perfectly and had an interface I actually preferred. But I’m pretty locked into the NI ecosystem now (I don’t complain, I love NI products, for me they are the best around for my usage, I use Massive X and Reaktor Blocks for 90% of my synth needs), with a couple of MK3 keyboard and Maschine. So...

Ah that's interesting - so it was the antivirus blocking stuff - something to add to the list of things to consider, thanks

Yes. Actually here is what I think :

A couple of months ago, I installed KK and all the NI stuffs WITHOUT any antivirus installed. So everything went ok, scan etc.

I then installed avast later on but I didn’t have to scan anything again as it was already in place.

I think the problem came when I purchased a new expansion, it required a new scan that didn’t work because of the antivirus.

So yes, it looks like for any reason NI and Avast aren’t friends but didn’t noticed it because I didn’t run any scan after having installed it.
