I would also like to point out that CPU virtualisation was activated in the BIOS, which should not have been the case. Since I deactivated this, all problems have completely disappeared. Occasionally, I still had a few clicks. Since I deactivated CPU virtualisation in the BIOS a few days ago, all problems have actually been eliminated.

What have I learnt from this?

My thought process was: What is an audio workstation? It's a piece of metal with a motherboard, hard drives, DVD-ROM drive and USB ports. Exactly what specialised audio workstation builders only use, no matter how high-quality, and charge 1,000 - 2,000 EUR more per workstation. These are all elements that any IT company anywhere can order and install. I got a quote from a large IT company in our town and gave them the requirements as recommended by Steinberg (what needs to be set in the BIOS, etc.). Unfortunately, they obviously didn't stick to configuring the audio workstation as I had specified. I wanted to save the 2,000 EUR and not throw them out the window. Next time, I'll have to think about spending the 2,000 EUR on it.
