Serum 2 GUI Inverted in Maschine 3 (MAS2-30282)

I sent this support request to Xfer records:

I’m experiencing a rendering issue where Serum 2’s GUI appears flipped upside down when loaded in Native Instruments Maschine on macOS (Apple Silicon).


The plugin still functions correctly — I can interact with buttons as if the GUI were right side up — but the visual interface is inverted.

• macOS version: [15.3.1]

• Maschine version: [3.1.1]

• Serum 2 version: [2.0.16]

• Issue occurs in both native and Rosetta modes

• Does not happen in Ableton Live

The response from Xfer developer is attached below:


Hi Mason, 

This issue seems to be specific to Maschine and Vienna Ensemble Pro at this time. We are investigating the issue to see if there is a fix that can happen but the suspicion seems an update on the DAW manufacture side is required to help resolve the issue.

    @mason drielling Yes, this has been reported already and is being looked into. In the meantime we would recommend to use the AU plug-in of Serum 2 in Maschine 3 instead of the VST3. Will try to get more info and report back.

    Or use it in Komplete Kontrol - Serum 2 is seriously limited when used in Maschine due to lack of support for aftertouch and MPE

    Well it does for me, someone in another thread is saying they still have the issue but it's possible they are not on the same version of Serum 2 as me?

    Would be good if anyone else can confirm?
