Kontrol S3 cross fader bleed and malfunction

Recentky purchased S3 secondhand. Sound bleed from left channel when cross fader is fully in right position. When cross fader is moved to left position in software (Virtual DJ) it immediately jumps back to the centre.

First time with NI hardwsre so trying to figure out where the problem is. Does the cross fader need replacing? Is this possible and if do what is the estimated cost?

    Hey!

    Any reason you are using Virtual DJ? Does the same happen when you use Traktor?

    If you wish, you can try Traktor by downloading the trial.

    I believe this might be a configuration issue with Virtual DJ.

    I would set it into midi mode and with a midi tester see what values it outputs. If they are wacky I would try to clean the fader with propper fader lube.
