Syncing Maschine MK3 (stand-alone) with Ableton Live 12

Hello, I am using the maschineMK3 to send midi to my synthesizers. So the maschine is set on send-clock. Now in Ableton I have set the midi inputs of the maschine on sync. But I do not get any incoming sync messages. When I click on 'EXT' in Ableton it does not sync. Can anyone help me?

I do not get the grey box (right & above 'EXT') to appear blue. I have tried many things. Am I not doing something right?

Right now I have gotten it to work like this: Now the BPM works

I just have ableton link selected on both ableton and maschine. Also the maschine is still sending midi information to my synths. This is all very good. Next I want to try to route the audio from the seperate synthesizers through the maschine onto seperate audio tracks in ableton. Let's see how that goes.

Hello,

maschine supports ableton link, you simply activate it in maschine and ableton and it should work. In maschine it a button right from the transport buttons. Ableton has this button too on top left from tap tempo if I remember correctly.

I tried that today for the first time, and I think that works with the tempo, only then I can not send midi to my synthesizers anymore from the maschine.

You can, you just don't need midi to sync maschine and ableton. So the other routings you had before, when it worked should stay the same. You should be able to create a midi track use maschine as input and the output to your synth midi. It could be maybe even better to use maschine inside of ableton. Depends of course on your whole setup and what you want to achieve/what you want to do exactly.
