Traktor Pro 2 - Mac OS Monterey
Since the update to Monterey my Traktor Pro 2 doesn't show my external HDD anymore in the browser. Before the update my HDD always appeared in explorer. Adding the HDD to my Music Folders in the options isn't an alternative, because Traktor crashed after that (prob. too much to scan)

Not the software, the audio driver is no longer supported for Monterey. The card you bought 4 years ago was discontinued even back then, sadly.
If you're still on Intel hardware you can try this, it has worked for many including myself for the controllers. You may get lucky and get the audio hardware working with the same method.

Bought it less then 4 years ago, so I don't know. But it worked before... should I try other software?

That's weird, cause if I add a folder from the same HDD to Music Folder in Traktor, it works, but the HDD doesn't show up in the Traktor browser on the left side

I mixed up responses to different threads I had meant to post that in an Audio4 question, sorry.
The old software itself is probably the issue here. Traktor Pro 2 was written (and they stopped updating it) for versions of macOS long before Monterey. Apple's changes for how storage is handled may not be translating all the way across to this old version of Traktor - I would count you lucky to even be able to add those folders manually, frankly.
It's a common theme and probably not what most users want to hear, but you really should look into upgrading to the latest Traktor to keep up with OS and hardware changes. Bit of a learning curve from the old way, but it's not painful and it'll keep your screen time more focused on music rather than chasing technical issues.

Thanks for the effort all..... after several days of searching I'm done with it! Software seems to be worthless after an OS-update. Without software the controller itself is worthless too. So deleted everything, not going to gamble on new software not knowing if the same problem occurs.
Update: tried the Traktor Pro 3 demo and the same problem occurs. No external HDD in the browser on the left, but can add the HDD to my music folders in Traktor preferences. Out of options now, cause Traktor "Pro" 3 also crashes trying to load the SubDir when I add the HDD to the Music Folder

Sorry to hear! I switched to a bigger internal drive long ago and just kept my tracks there to save on bag space. Last ditch question did you do the usual PRAM/NVRAM reset stuff during your troubleshoots?

I understand, but I have more then a TB on mp3's and still growing. When you buy a controller off a couple off hundred euros the least you can expect is the ability to plug in a HDD and play.

I got the 2TB on my MBP for this reason, I had topped 1.5 and it was getting insane.
Did you try the reset stuff?
