Tempo settings on Traktor Pro4

why does the tempo automatically go to the lowest level when I load a track? How do I prevent this from happening?

    The only work around I found is to hit calibrate button, then the -/+ appears and I can adjust the tempo from there. How do I fix this?

    What do you mean the lowest level, do you mean the tempo fader? Can you post a screenshot? Do you have any hardware connected?
