Guitar Rig and FX - we could do with a community update?

Has development stalled on NI FX and GR? We were expecting regular updates with new ICM modules etc but nothing has happened in a while, and the FX seem to be in limbo generally? What's happening?

I would appreciate some news as well. I have been upgrading the Komplete Ultimate package since KU8, and have tried as much as possible to stay within the NI ecosystem. I tried various other amp sims during that long period when GR was not being developed, but was happy to see with GR6 and 7 that progress was being made. Now it appears to be stalled again. And after a run of excellent FX (Crush and Mod packs, Raum, Driver, Replika, Supercharger, there has been no new FX for a while now. The last KU upgrade only had Trash and some old plugins from other developers which weren't that great. Nothing from NI itself. Meanwhile I look at Arturia and see regular releases of excellent FXs and wonder "why isn't NI doing this?" A workhorse EQ, a granular FX, new ICM amps and FX for GR…what is going on?

They had big promises about how fast they were going to release free ICM components chosen by the community when Guitar Rig 6 came out. Then they blamed covid on not doing it, released some components as a paid update and never mentioned it again.

GR7 came with a bang (in a positive way), but went in silent mode afterwards… some feedback, new add-ons, ICM components, … would be nice. I just posted a new article to reach out for feature requests.

GR7 is also great for sound mangling, not just for guitars. Some updates, new components, patches, etc. would be nice indeed.
