why is my traktor 3 saying Traktor.log could not be accessed and is write protected

I have tried numerous times to open or start the program but have not gained access in months. I just purchased a download for version 4 update just to find out it still won't open, now I hope I didn't just loose $75.00. I'm not geek savvy but really love my music and need help trying to figure out how to get back on track. If anybody knows what I'm not doing right please help…..Thanks

    Forgot to add I keep getting a message could not initialize Traktor Logfile "Traktor. log" could not be access and is probably write protected
