Maschine Sample Rate Issues

Hi. Recently I opened a project that uses Serato Sample. For some reason when the sample played there was lots of clipping and some weird artifacts playing. Samples sounded extremely distorted in a bad way. I thought adjusting the sample rate or buffer might help the issues. After adjusting the project wouldnt play at all. The program just hung. I forced a quit. No none of my projects will play and when I go to adjust sample rate, Maschine just hangs. I'm unable to do anything. No sound when i hit my controller, when i click sounds from library and play head does not move in project. I've tried restarting computer. Also I can access SONG mode. MacBook Air, M2 Chip, 16G , Sequoia 15.3.1, Maschine 2.17.4

    What is selected in the audio settings of Maschine?The only time I’ve seen the program unresponsive like you describe, the wrong driver was selected (saio vs wasapi)
