Using quant, is there a way to restrict the range of outputs?

I am learning to use Reaktor Blocks. Here I am trying to adapt a patch that someone has created in Bitwig Grid, and I want to narrow the range of pitches that Quant outputs to the Osc. Can it be done, and if so, how?

there are different way to do this.

clipping, scaling or wrapping (modulo arithmetic), which does the bitwig version do?

you probably want scaling or wrapping. Scaling is very easy, just use the level and offset control on the quantise. or just bring down the level on the Level Block, and adjust the offset on the quantiser

Also note that the sample and hold block has built in noise, and with nothing patched to the input, the knob becomes a level control for the noise.

    Thanks.

The bitwig one used an attenuator. I tried a simple volume knob on the other noise source option, but it wouldn't appear on the panel. Offset seems to move everything up/down, but I don't think it has the capacity to narrow or widen. Level, I thought, was just adjusting the volume. I'll have a look at wrapping tomorrow.

First, Level does behave as you say. That helped.

I've got S&H dialed to 0. Previously I'd tried using it set to max for the noise source.

Wrapping, I didn't get very far with. Math not my strong point, but not knowing the range of values output by the noise generator multiplied the blundering :)

I settled on 1-op Chaos, from the Uro Reakt Free Edition. I now have a working setup.
