What does SHIFT + Note Repeat do? (Maschine V2)

When I press and hold Note Repeat and then press pads on the Maschine MK2 I get arpeggiation, and when I press SHIFT and hold Note Repeat I get the exact same screen and behaviour as without the SHIFT key.

Searching online suggests that without the SHIFT key you just get note repeat and with the shift key you get the arpeggiator but that's not how it's working for me.

Other sources online suggest that when you hold the SHIFT key you get to control the arpeggiation using the knobs, but that's also available to me when I don't hold the SHIFT key, so I have no idea what the SHIFT key is supposed to add to the equation here?

On my hardware the Arp is written in lower case and beneath the NOTE REPEAT button, suggesting you need to hold SHIFT to access it, but like I said, so far no diff that I've noticed.

I would have hoped that the SHIFT key in conjuction with NOTE REPEAT would auto-hold the arpeggiator, but for that I have to press NOTE REPEAT and then button1 for ARP or button2 for LOCK.

Is this just a documentation mismatch due to a software/firmware update or am I missing something?

    on my jam

Note repeat gives you option for rate - unit - gate - lock and hold

Shift and note repeat which is arp gives you , type- rate -unit - sequence- octaves - dynamic- gate - and lock

Note repeat works on groups , so if you have a kit loaded you can note repeat any sound in that group at the same time

Arp on the other hand , puts the selected sound in chromatic mode , which can be played across the pads chromatically
