Modulator envelopes

Greetings all.
I am new to using massive X and I am experiencing a strange issue. I seem to be able to only use certain envelopes for modulation. So, for example, I have E2 modulating the main filter and the main pitch. I've set my modulation amount and everything works as I would expect. The issue I am having though is when I swap E2 for E1 for example, there is no modulation change. The blue letter number combo changes but there is no modulation. I've also noticed that when I select the noise feature, for example, and chose E1 for the modulation that seemed to work but as soon as I changed it to E3, there was no modulation again. Even when I choose E3 as the first option there is still no modulation. Is this a bug or am I being stupid?

Don't worry, I've just realised what it is. E1 = Amp envelope, E2 = Mod 2/Modulation envelope, and E3 = Mod 3 or in my case exciter envelope. When I was adding E3 to a parameter nothing was happening because my settings were set that nothing would happen. I know, I know….stupid.
