Autosave :) [Feature request]

Could we have Traktor autosave playlists and settings by itself rather than only at a succesful exit? Like, even to just a backup file every minute or so if not keeping track of every click.

A user in another thread was complaining that he keeps losing his work and it's not like this hasn't happened to everyone using Traktor. For some reason building playlists and editing tags seems to be the only time I get the occasional crash myself.

Autosave is a given in everything these days be it video editing, Google docs or whatever. Like you don't even think of saving because it just picks up from where you were…and also nothing aside from music software seems to crash anymore either.

    I agree with you that it would be very helpful to have something like that. It has happened to me several times that I have lost a lot of work because of a crash or a hang.

    In the meantime, I just do it the way it is common in all other applications and have mapped cmd + s for "save collection" on the keyboard. I now do it almost subconsciously when I do several work steps in a row.

    Good idea, tho why do you even need to map it yourself?! Like Ctrl+S was "save" in every piece of software 30 years ago already. Maybe I'll make a feature request of it, "please NI, map ctrl+s to save by default" :P

    Until NI does this, just map it to your keyboard. I did and i am content. 😉

    I reserve my 'Please NI' requests to audio-stream-breaking or really annoying longstanding bugs that don't have a workaround.
