komplete s49 mk2 and logic, transport not working

Cheers good ppl.

Just got an m4 mac with OS15.3.1

Running logic 11.1.2

Using KK 3.3.2

Keys work alright. But the transport plays notes, doesn’t start recording or playing.

The big knob doesn’t scroll the bars, as it did on my ol’ imac.

I tried the reseting of logic as linked in another thread - the apogee site.

But the mac os doesn’t look like that in version 15.3.1, so that’s old news:-), and there were no files in the cache with the names of com.apple.logic etc.

I’ve ensured to allow disc access. still didn’t help.

How to proceed?

Which port is selected for the S49? To allow controlling DAW, DAW port should be selected (if this is still how it works)

ohhh… and pressing the mixer button also doesn’t allow me to do any mixing… I sure miss the features

In Logic preferences you have Midi setup. Look under Inputs what is selected

@GIUFJ We've seen a few similar cases.

Please try the following:

Make sure that Logic and Komplete Kontrol have full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

Add these steps:

And finally, if nothing helped here, some users fixed it by reinstalling Logic.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean here.

If you complete these steps: https://knowledge.apogeedigital.com/how-to-reset-logic-pro-trash-preferences

Then next time you open Komplete Kontrol you should get a prompt asking if you want to connect the keyboard. Choose Yes and everything should be setup automatically.

Haha, yeah. Old post. Ignore that.

I reset as described. I did not get a prompt. The keyboard just appeared in the control surface list under settings.

Then I tried reinstalling. Still no prompt. Again. the keyboard just appeared.

Sorry, not under settings, under control surfaces - setup

I tried deleting the two files again. reboot the mac, and load up logic.

Now the s49 is not on the control surface list. I can play the keys and enter plugin and browse and all that…. still no transport functions and still no mixer function.
