I screwed up and could use some help

Hi - I have a Mac Studio and only got the small drive so I began running out of room. I purchased an external ssd drive and changed the content location to the external drive and I proceeded to down load all the content to the external drive. Now when I reboot the computer, open Logic Pro x, select the KontS88 inst 1 on a track - go to the Kontrol S22 and select an instrument - I see the logo of each instrument - but when I select a sound, nothing happens and in the upper left hand corner is says "empty". So, I went back and changed the location back to the default /Users/Shared - and the problem still exists. I've rebooted the machine multiple times and switched back and from the locations to see if it would pick it up. I'm stumped and could use any assistance. Thanks - Joe

Sorry - I neglected to leave some details out: Logic Pro X Ver 11.0.1
Mac Studio - 2023 - Apple M2 Max Chip - Mac OS. Sonoma 14.6.1
KontrolS88nNative Access Ver 3.170.0
Installed: The Grandeur, The Maverick, Kontakt 7 Kontakt Factory Library 2, Hype, Nectar 4 Elements, Neutron 4 Elements, Ozone 11 Elements, RX 10 Elements, Schema-Light, Guitar Rig 7 LE, Stradivari Cello, Backyard Jams, Deep Matter, Drum Lab, Ethereal Earth, Hybrid Keys, Komplete Knotrol, Kontakt Factory Selection2, Lilac Glare….
Also just some background - this is my second KontrolS88n and it doesn't function properly with the M2 chip. I've tried multiple settings, cables, USB hubs (powered) ant it functions weird - I still love the sounds etc. but recording is an adventure.0 -
Let’s take 1 problem at a time:
Native Access: changing the content location is only for telling NA where things should be installed from then on. Changing it back will not move previous installations. In case some products have issues (like being marked as Repair or Demo), you must use locate functions to point at where they are installed (check at the bottom left of NA for the Maintenance menu)
Keyboard: your issues could have something to do with which port you select for midi. Kontrol keyboards have 3 ports: Komplete Kontrol (for USB midi), Komplete DAW (as the name says, to control DAWs) and Komplete ext (for the 5Pin midi ports)

Hi LostInFoundation and thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. I never knew about the maintenance menu, did run it but unfortunately it's still not responding. Would a fresh install. make more sense? Thanks
