Add Network Shared Folders to the Explorer

Hello !
this is probably a niche case, but i think it's worth checking into.

i have all my music hosted on my NAS, and for the last year i have been streaming them over the network. the utility of it is that i can manage and perform on my main PC at home, then simply copy my database to my laptop and part/whole of my library and all my preset, cues, analysis and such will be the same and up-to-date.
this makes my performance "pc-agnostic" in a way, only having to sync the traktor database (and the files i intend to play if i leave my house). if i had a business internet connection, i could probably remote-stream from home using a VPN as well.
that would be a further goal, but i'm not there yet (only have 50mbit of bandwith, and i play FLACs…)

this all works well, but the caveat is i have to assign drive letters to the network share so it shows in the explorer/music folders.
if i add the network share (SMB) from the "my music library" settings menu, they will show in the collection, but they won't show in the explorer section.

i'm not sure if there is a reason for this, maybe using the shared folder (SMB) adds latency ?
i have not noticed any latency in resolving file from the mapped network drive (letter) but i do sometimes notice in the file explorer that the network discovery takes a little bit more time than accessing the same share via a mapped network drive (letter)

i wonder if that is the reason that mapped network drive (letters) are accessible from explorer, but not the network shares. (or maybe i hacked my way into something that was not intended in the first place…. what wouldn't be a first time :P )
