Maschine Mikro 3 templates have different file formats in macOS and Windows???

This is puzzling to me and I hope there's some conversion tool or something because it makes no sense to me.

I had made several templates for the Mikro 3 on my Mac, for different instruments, and some just to have different colors for each page. Recently I built a PC. When I got around to install the Controller Editor app, I figured I could just copy over the templates from the Mac to the PC and that's it.

So I find where they are stored in my Mac and I copy them over to the same basic location on my PC. But I launch the Controller Editor and there's no templates other than the default. So I start to doubt that I got the location right, and I try to export the default template to show me where they are stored in the PC.

And that's when I realize that in Windows, the controller app saves the templates with the extension ".ncmm3" while the ones saved in macOS have the extension ".ncc". This makes no sense to me.

In both macOS and Windows, the app is the latest version, 2.8.2. Perhaps I would understand if the app in the PC was a very old version that used to save to another file format, but being both the same, how is it possible that just because it's a different OS they get saved to different file formats?

Is there a way to convert them?
