Maschine Plus as Open Source like Synthstrom

Maschine Plus going open-source would empower the community, just like Synthstrom did with the Deluge firmware. Custom firmware built with i.e. Reaktor could unlock new creative possibilities, gain innovation and collaboration—a true win-win.

    Never going to happen.

Maschine Jam is deprecated and they never released the source code.

Eh? What source code would a MIDI controller have on it? 🤔

OP is talking about Maschine Plus… I miss the Maschine Jam comment but even that has "source code" to open. It was asked in the past for the Rebellion project but never took off. If NI were a bit more open maybe it could had been possible to develop a middlebox to made compatible their controllers with class compliant devices such iPad or Maschine Plus itself.

BTW…. Jam is not exactly just a generic class-compliant MIDI Controller, like all Maschine controllers it talks to a proprietary driver which then converts it all to MIDI.

If Jam released its source code details people could you know… make drivers so it could work on Linux, iOS, iPadOS, etc… Have advanced MIDI control, etc…
