Rickenbacker Bass Harmonics trigger inconsitent in Logic

I understand that to have the Rickenbacker bass play harmonics you need velocity below 15 and the Mute A#-1) as trigger. I can play it like this on the keyboard and it works (sometimes). I record it and it works maybe the first time, but then not on playback. If I draw in the note at low velocity it doesn't seem to work.

Any advice?
