Is it possible to switch to the whole Waveform View in a stemmed track?

Hey, does anybody know if it is possible to switch the Deck view to only one (the original) waveform with a track thats loaded in with stems? I often use the grid markers and the Waveform as visual cues to move the Grid in Realtime while mixing old tracks with fluctuating tempo. But in the stem View i cant see anything on my 15inch Laptop, i.e. relate the waveform to the grid markers. This would be a great quality of life feature for me. Thanks alot!

    Yes. It's not possible in the GUI, but there is a mapping assignment called 'DAW View' that can toggle between 4 stems and a single waveform. You can map this in any mapping file. It's deck specific but you can bind this command 4 times (once for each deck) to a single button (MIDI/overmapping) or key (keyboad).

    No. Once you have set a deck to be a stem deck, you have to toggle it. If you are using a controller, you could bind it (without override) to your LOAD button on release ('inverted' checkbox checked), so that directly after loading it would go into DAW view. Instead of Mode = Toggle, use Mode = Direct and Value = 1.

    Holy Moly! Thanks a lot my dude! I never in a million years would have found this…

    One question though: right now with how you described it i alway have to toggle it once for every track thats loaded into the deck. Do you know if theres a way to activate this DAW view permanently?

    actually in my experience, if you try to load a non-stem track into a deck that has the exact same song, but stemmed, it will crash traktor

    the inverse seems also true (loading a stem into a non-stem deck)
    being the same file seems to be the issue. it work great when it's not the same source file.
