Traktor S4 MK3 sending muted signals

Hey, I am not sure if my pre-amp is blown or if it's just the cheap cable & adaptor I used. I have ordered a replacement cable of high quality (going printer to usb-c). If that doesn't work, I expect I will have to send the unit in for repair.

Is it common to have signal issues with cheaper cables? Also, is there a repair center anywhere near Thailand?
