Drum Machine Roland TR or Machine MK3 ?
Hello,
I'm thinking about getting a simple drum machine like the Roland TR-6S to use with Traktor.
After some research I came across Machine MK3.
What would you recommend to a beginner?
I actually want to add my own drums to existing tracks (change them). Is the Machine MK3 a bit overkill for that?
Can Machine replace the Roland drum machine?
Midi synchronization is supposed to work with both.
Ableton synchronization is out of the question because unfortunately it only works as a master tempo in Traktor.
Music production is not my priority.
My thoughts would be that if Machine can basically do what the Roland drum machine can do but otherwise offers even more options, that would of course be an interesting alternative.
I'm still a beginner in this area and would be grateful for any advice.

Maschine is far more capable than the Roland, and with much better screens, for just a little more cost.
I think if you bought the Roland you'd be limiting yourself and maybe wanting to upgrade before long, whereas Maschine will still provide a beat, but will IMO encourage you to do more than just drum patterns.
I have a Maschine+ bought for a similar purpose, but I tend to play percussion live over the music - and the Maschine lends itself to that with the large pads.

Traktor has a Step Sequencer which you can use if you've got an S8, D2 or F1 controller
