Hello,

Is it possible in software mashine to create a scene with two patterns coming from a same group? If yes, please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks in advance for your support

    Hey Lolo,

Yes, you can include two patterns from the same group in a scene within Maschine, but it requires a workaround since Maschine only allows one pattern per group to play at a time. Here’s how to do it:

    1. Create Your Patterns: Make two patterns in the group you want to work with (e.g., Pattern 1 for drums, Pattern 2 for percussion).
    2. Duplicate the Group: Right-click the group and select Duplicate Group. This creates a copy of the group with the same sounds and settings.
    3. Assign Patterns: Go to the Scene view. Add Pattern 1 from the original group and Pattern 2 from the duplicated group to the scene.
    4. Adjust as Needed: Play the scene and make any tweaks to the patterns or arrangement.

If you want both patterns in the same group without duplication, you’d need to combine their content into a single pattern, though this limits individual control.

    Hello Jeremy,

When I make the duplicate, Group is duplicated but group is empty (Patterns are not copied).

    Best regards

    Lolo
