Spotlight Collection's are not responding to Articulation Maps

I am trying to use articulation maps, in my case in Digital Performer to toggle the various articulations in the Spotlight Collections libraries such as Ireland, Middle East, India etc. I am able to toggle the various articulations by playing the corresponding keyswitch on my MIDI keyboard, but I am not able to cause the articulation change using articulation mapping in Digital Performer. I googled this issue and read similar issues for a Logic and Cubase user so I do not think it is specifically an issue with Digital Performer. Is there a major change as to how the SPOTLIGHT COLLECTION libraries are programmed that they are not responding to articulation changes triggered by an articulation map?
