How do I shorten the length of a sample?
I'm in the Sampling mode and I can see the S (start) and E (end) points of the sample but when I turn the E knob nothing happens at all. When I turn the S knob, it just zooms in.
I want to chop about half of second off the end of the sample but I can't see any way to move the end point.

Did you check the manual part "Editing a sample" ? (page 583)
Part of the Sampling and Sample Mapping section of the on-line manual.
Quote : 15.4. Editing a Sample
The Edit page of the Sample Editor in the software and its equivalent the EDIT page of the
Sampling mode on your controller allow you to adjust the start and end points of a Sample or Slice
and to apply various destructive audio processing functions to any part of the Sample.0

Thank you @PoorFellow I was misinterpreted the "E" end indicator being over knob #8 as being the knob to adjust but I finally realized the correct knob was #2 (iirc, its been a couple days). And thanks for the link to the online manual. That is an impressive resource if a bit daunting.
