Help with setup with Mikro 3

I’ve recently purchased a Mikro 3 - brand new. Turn on my Mac laptop, downloaded the software and the computer won’t recognize the hardware through the software I’ve downloaded. If checked the system and the computer is recognizing the hardware in the system settings. The software that Native investments told me to download were

  • controller editor
  • Kontakt
  • Kontakt 7 and 8
  • Massive
  • Reaktor 6

I thought the problem may have been to do with my Mac so we tried it on dell laptop and the exact same problem occurred.

All of the YouTube tutorials are telling me to download the maschine 2 software but it’s not showing up in my NI access.

Any ideas??

    Hey @CDB ,

have you already looked that up in Native Access? And that is all you get offered? Can you go on the NI website, log in and check at my products and serials if Maschine software is listed there? Which version of macOS is running on your Mac? Which version of Windows on the Dell machine? Which version of Native Access are you using?

As you bought recently I expect it was after November 6th? If so you usually shouldn't get Maschine 2 software anymore but the newer Maschine 3 software instead. But Maschine 3 requires at least macOS 13 or Windows 10. If you don't meet this requirements Native Access won't offer to install Maschine software - even if you have a licence in your account. But as you got offered Kontakt 8 (which has same requirements) I am afraid that by mistake no licence for Maschine software was added to your account (by mistake). Therefore you'll most likely have do deal with Native Instruments support to get this sorted out:

As we are in holiday season and many employees at NI are on vacation expect longer response times. Especially as holiday sales are still going on which also puts more workload on support. Therefore you'll may don't get a reaction before next year.
