Can't register my brand new Kontrol S88 MK3

Just bought a Kontrol S88 MK3, from a large chain store. It is guaranteed brand new, however when I go to register it in Native Access, it's informing me that the serial number is currently already registered. I created a ticket a few days ago, included in the ticket the original receipt, a picture of the serial on the device, and the card that came with it. I haven't heard anything from support yet.

Most frustrating! I paid a lot of money for this and that I can't use it other than a generic midi controller is very upsetting.

Not leaving a good taste in my mouth NI.

You have followed procedure and support should be able to process your ticket with no problem once they get to it.

N.I. support do not work on weekends or on holidays , "a few days ago" that was company Christmas vacation time , also there is a sale going on which also causes delays for all types of support. So you merely needs to have some patience.

I understand how extremely frustrating that it must be for you after having made the investment in the new keyboard but alas in the case of such a mishap then things do take some time.

This just happened to me with an S88. I contacted the store in the first instance and it turned out that they had registered the item with NI. It appears this is something stores sometimes do as they come in, in case they decide to display a particular item I guess. I think it must be some type of special wholesaler registration, as the store got back to me an hour later after I had mailed them a photo of some details on the box and the registration code was "released" by NI so I could use it. My advice would be to contact your reseller in the first instance to see if the same thing applies in your case.

Support got back to me a couple days ago and cleared it out. All is good, I was a little bummed that I couldn't have it registered for a Christmas gathering, but all is sorted and working well in the end.
