I have the same issue. Any update from Ableton? Or Native?

It's been fixed in the new beta (12.1.10b3)! Just got hold out for a public release.

    So happy I found this!

Just got this same problem while working on a big theatre project with a premiere in less than 4 weeks and I suddenly can't open the project anymore…. PANIC!

Seems definitely like an Ableton issues since it solved the issue to install Ableton v 12.1.1. Then I could click OK and open my project.

I'm experiencing the same issue and I'm working from the latest version of everything. Kontakt 8, Ableton 12.1.5 running Sequoia on a MacBook Pro. Has anyone found a solution?

I got this response from Ableton:

    Hello Jan,
This is a known bug that was recently fixed with the latest release of Live 12.
More information about this release can be found in the Live 12 Release Notes.
If you have automatic updates enabled in Live's preferences, then Live will update to the next version automatically upon startup. If you do not have automatic updates enabled, either enable them, or download the latest version from your Ableton user account.
Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions and we will be happy to help.
    Best,

Unfortunately, I think that last release (Ableton 12.1.5) did NOT fix it since these issues appeared after that release was installed.

    So, back to square one…

I may have a solution for you, but it's a doozy.
You can't interact with the button by clicking it or using keyboard interactions, but you can interact with it via devtools. Apple's IDE called XCode has something called "Accessibility Inspector" that allows you to interact with Mac apps including System Dialogs and Modals for development purposes. Here are the steps for getting past this issue without downgrading:

    1. Install XCode from the App Store.
    2. Once installed, press Cmd+Spacebar and search for "Accessibility Inspector" and launch it.
    3. While the error dialog from Ableton is open, click on the little target icon in the top right corner of Accesiblity Inspector.
    4. Click on the Ableton error dialog about Kontakt.
    5. In Accessibility Inspector, use the arrows under the target icon in the top right to cycle through the modal elements until the OK button is highlighted in green.
    6. Now in Accessibility Inspector you should have a drop down for "Actions" open that up and you should see a button that says "Perform" click that.

I hope this helps some folks out there.

I have the same problem with Live 12 and Kontakt 8.

Since I work with a Mac Book Pro (Intel i9) and a Mac mini (M2 Pro),
I can report that the problem only occurs with the Apple Chip M2 Pro.

    i9: MBP 15" 2019, Big Sur, Live 12.1.5 and Kontakt 8.
M2Pro: Mac Mini 2023, Sonoma, Live 12.1.5 and Kontakt 8.

I got around this by opening the infected project from Finder, holding down Option while Ableton launches to load the project without external plugins, and then deleting the Kontakt instance causing problems. I saved a new version of the project and relaunched Ableton. Lost the work done on that Kontakt instance but at least was able to recover the rest of the project.
