Do you have news about HID support? It may be the better solution if DVS is not stable.

No I don't, my colleague in charge of Traktor in Community is out of office at the moment, if you have specific issues or questions please reach out to our support here: https://bit.ly/NI_support_Traktor

I don't think anyone from the Traktor team would officially comment on whether we will ever get HID integration for the RANE Twelve MKII. To be fair, though, it doesn't depend on NI alone; RANE and inMusic would probably have to be open for it too. Ultimately, it will be about money for licenses, or something like that. I've been waiting for a firmware update for over two years now so that this annoying "playhead skipping" bug can be fixed and nothing has happened, I honestly don't think I'll ever be able to use these things properly with Traktor. I'm only keeping them because I can play with all the other DJ software and that's very useful if I want to try something out there.

Can you describe this problem in a bit more detail? What exactly do you mean by "losing DVS signal"? Does that just stop the deck in Traktor or switch it to internal? Do you have wow and flutter or other problems when mixing?

The problem about "losing DVS signal" is: randomly it seems to loose the "connection". It happens while doing something or even while not touching anything. The deck stops and nothing respond anymore no vinyl control, no play/stop, no tempo fader (on the deck that was using the DVS previously). I still see the input signal on my sound card. But the Traktor options's input doesn't show a signal anymore. And it is impossible to have it functional back. You need to restart Traktor for have it back.

No wow or flutter, apart from this disconnection, everything is fine.

OK, that doesn't sound like a problem I know of in connection with the RANE Twelves MKII.

Even if that sounds a bit like support 101:

    • Change all the RCA cables, including USB.
    • Check your latency settings, sampling rate, etc. on your sound card. A latency of around 10ms on the output and a sampling rate of 48,000 kHz would be ideal.
    • Listen to the timecode signal from the output of your MOTU, or on the line channel of your mixer or headphones, if you're having problems again. Maybe your Twelves really do have a production defect.

It could of course be that the M4 is causing problems or your macOS. Which version do you have? I've heard a few times now that people have problems with Sequoia. Then it might not be your Twelves and you should look elsewhere for the problem.

Either way, contact official support. I think if there is already a known problem in this regard, they already know about it. On the other hand, it is always good when things are documented and reproducible so that you can hope for a possible bug fix in the near future.

Yeah may be related to the new mac book. Cables are new, but will try others. My latency is below 3 ms with the MOTU so not a problem I think. I may try to increase the buffer size to be sure it is not related to that. But I never had issues with playback even with low latency. Will post my update once tests are done :)

    Hello,

    After testing again.

    1. Good news, I was able to keep stable the DVS connection for more than 24h now. So, no more problem on this side. I changed for a new USB cable, I changed for a new shorter and high quality audio cable (1m / 3 f). I also changed a bit the audio drivers for push to 256 samples/48 KHz, ending up at 5 ms. For info the audio cable I had previously was very long (3m / 9 f) and latency was 2 ms at 64 samples/48 KHz, not sure if it could impact something.
    2. Since the DVS connection is stable I was able to use properly the tempo slider without offset problem by adding the "Reset Tempo Offset" proposed by rndm_ (thanks to him). So problem solved too.
    3. The last remaining problem on the last version being the fact I can only use the Rane Twelves MKII on one single deck.

So still waiting for NI to fix that, but once it is it should be "ok". Will wait for update you here, after the next Traktor hotfix is released.

*NI if you are looking for a beta tester, let me know. Thanks!

@theprogrammer : if one switches the midi channel for the CC119 reset tempo offset mapping, then after pushing Deck 1 for example, and wiggles the pitch fader on the Rane, one can control all 4 decks. just copy the mapping which i posted on the first page of this thread ::)) (and don't forget to wiggle the pitch fader on the rane)
