how to include Rating (stars) in the search arguments?

I'm used to quick compoung searches in Traktor using "|" for OR, but how do I include rating in a search? imagine I just wanna search to 5 star rating songs, what would I put in the search bar?

And no, I don't wanna sort the list by rating and then I'll have the 5 stars on top. Because my listings will most likely be sorted by BPM and then by KEY, so I can't introduce a 3rd sorting option

I do know this; and until recently there was only a single argument available.

What you do not seem to understand is that once you have sorted by column, you can make the sequence 'stick' by using 'consolidate playlist', which will rearrange the '#' numbers to the new sequence. This trick enables the user to sort by any number of arguments, one after the other.

I explained this in an earlier post, but it must have gone under your notice.

I don't think that there is such option, but (just an idea) it might be possible if you use the "star" button of your computer keyboard.

The only workaround I could think of is have multiple smart Playlist with the different ratings.

I use smart playlists for this. ALL my tracks are rated 1-5 stars and I make filters based on bpm, key and or genre. Only rated tracks are in there. The ratings MUST be applied in Traktor as other programs use different methods (numbers) to rate tracks 1 through 5, this generally only applies to FLAC files.

smart playlists are very limited! you can't use "|" OR statements. also: you can't look for a word in any field. My tracks are rated too. What I need is a way to search 5 star ration on the search bar (for example)

Make a smart list with your whole collection, have that only display 5 star rated tracks. Select the smart list, and use the search function. Done.

its not very practical to tag my entire collection with a rating tag, when all my songs have star ratings already

Sort the results by the rating tag. The 5 stars will be on top or bottom.

Sounds to me you need to figure out how to sort and tag your library better.

Thanks… thats not a solution. all my lists are normally already sorted by Bpm and Key. You can only have 2 sorting arguments… so I can't have a 3rd

If you sort by a single column and then cosolidate the list (getting the # in the current sequence) you can then sort by another two. Ad infinitum.
