The only thing.. as soon as i fixed the problem.. Freaking Microsoft wants to do another one of their evil updates. These updates always mess with my programs functionality.

& they always seem to need to be done after i've "fixed" something. i do restore points, to roll back to my computer's previous state.. & Microsoft's update removes the restore point.

i have a ton of backups.. but these updates also mess with my recovery drive

it's like a tug of war..

That is a driver. Not a Windows update.

You should turn off all driver updates via Windows Update. They are frequently old, basic and in many cases substandard vs what your motherboard or computer vendor provides.

If you want a very stable DAW experience - like your system BIOS - never update hardware drivers unless absolutely necessary.

This is easily handled via Windows settings or an easy to add Registry key.

I got it, and trust me.. the reason that i always make sure i have the pro versions of Windows is because its supposed to allow you to turn off ALL updates. Not just delay the update, but turn them off. & i do that. i go in and disable updates. & do everything i can to divorce myself from this love hate Microsoft relationship.. But Microsoft is evil. Lol .. They want to spy, and collect data, and send it back to the moon, so they can "Help" the Microsoft community (yeah). So they find a way to push their update process no matter what you do..

& they freaking remove your restore points so you can't go back and undo what they did..

    i just want to create..
