No, normal foot petals (1/4 inch jack) only do very specific things while in Maschine Mode (Play, Record, etc).

You would need to find one that sends MIDI, I've seen some but they dont tend to look like Kick/Hat pedals, they look more like Guitar switches and ussually have like 4+ buttons.

i know it’s not directly pertaining to Maschine so I apologize but this made me think of this free Max4Live device called “Sustain Pedal Kick Drum” - if you use Ableton and have Max4Live it might be worth a try with any keyboard sustain pedal. It has worked well for me before after fine tuning the foot feel with the piano-style sustain pedal. I would try loading the M4L device on a MIDI track and then route the MIDI from there to the MIDI input for the kick sound in Maschine. Again, sorry if you’re not using Ableton / M4L.

But the Roland SPDS-X is probably the best bet. It works great and is compatible with conventional electronic kick and hi~hat pedals from e~drum kits. I haven’t used it with Maschine before but I assume it would allow you to send everything to Maschine from the MIDI out port of the SPDS~X.

I think the Kick would be able to send a note on single. I just don’t know how the hi-hat pedal would work with choking open hats, triggering a foot “stomp/closing” sound, and also sending different note messages (closed/open hats) whether the pedal is physically open or closed. Would love to hear other perspectives on this subject, personally.
