Have the same issue when building a composer template in Cubase 14 with Kontakt 8, have to manually activate my S88 MK3 controller each time in Kontakt 8 File>Controller>Kontrol S88 MK3 when accessing a track.
Thought I did something wrong with Kontakt 8 but clearly a bug. Hoping for a hotfix update ASAP.
Sidenote: Kontakt 8 and S88 MK3 stills looks semicomplete, no updated purge controls (with Midi CC) in GUI on Kontakt 8 and still no internal ARP on the S88 MK3

Same issue here with my new Cubase 14 template and Kontakt 8. My S88 MK3 does not connect to Kontakt 8 when I switch track. All three updated to the latest release. @Matthew_NI any hotfix release coming soon?

Just to confirm - the fixes proposed earlier in this thread are not working for you?

If my products are updated it should not have these issues for common use cases. Having to manually patch up temporary solutions is not great UX. Kontakt 8 and the S88 MK3 are unfinished products. Please escalate and fix.

I have the same problem and your suggestion fixed it. I am on windows 11, cubase pro 14, with the kontrol S61MK3. I froze tracks in a previous session and when I started a new session the controller wouldn’t connect to Kontakt 8 but all other midi commands worked. Hopefully support will provide a permanent fix.

I run a Macbook Pro with Sonoma 14.7.2, the solution mentioned here seems to be for PC. Cannot find the files mentioned. Again, release a hotfix. Fix this.

Have you tried a support ticket, or following the steps in this article?
I'm not yet sure if there's something to be fixed.

I'd also ask the basic questions, like whether you're using a USB Hub (if not, would recommend doing so)

This solution worked. Very strange procedure though and far from obvious, maybe work with Cubase on making the UX better on a future version of Cubase. Remember the S88 MK3 and Cubase is a common use case.
On the solution thread you linked, I may have seen it but thought it was only for the Komplete Kontrol plugin (maybe it has been updated?). Maybe adjust the title or something?

No issue with the connection. Using a hub + USB-power added directly to the S88.
The link with the thread describing the solution is working for now.
Btw, please sell (or rather send pro bono) those USB-cables (with connector protection, only one was included as a data cable). An extra should have been included in the box for power. The S88 MK3 keyboard is so expensive I rather have the same cable type with connector protection for power.
