Old laptop old maschine 2

Hi thereI managed to get maschine 2 installed but cannot activate it as my laptop is too old to get native access to work. I have maschine mikro mk3 and maschine 2 on my imac. Is there a way ai can activate machine 2 on my 2011 macbook air? I dont need all the software instruments or packs. I will add only a few samples etc.

Hello s m, which operating system that you are using in the 2011 macbook air? If the Native Access does not supported in this operating system then unfortunately I can only advise on updating to a compatible operating system which can work with the Native Access. Here is the Knowledge Base Article that can help you with this subject:

Also, here is the Compatibility Chart for the Native Instruments, so if the product is not supported with your operating system I would also kindly advice to update your operating system for a compatible version:

The air cant be updated anymore but all it needs is maschine to be activated. Its installed but needs my activation .. can you do that somehow? I have an NI acount on my imac. Just need the copy of maschine thats on my 2011 air actiavted.

Hello @s m, were you able to solve your problem? I own a Maschine Mikro MK2, and I just bought a Maschine 3 license because I lost the CD with the serial number on it. If you are interested, I could trade it for your Maschine 2 license.

I think Mikro MK3 will run on Maschine 3 software. If you want to trade it would help both of us. I could run my MK2 on Maschine 2 software and you will have a new version for your system to run MK3 on Maschine 3.

Native Access should be able to run also on a air 2011 (maybe a previous version, but it should work).

They even have an entire support article with previous version of Native Access for older systems to download.

And, in case the activation is still problematic (but it should not with a program like Maschine 2), some user managed to obtain what they are allowed to have: activation for older programs (even ones that still used Service Center when NA was not even a thing) by making some steps and having Support sending him the activation keys:
