Creating my own vocal melodies???

Hey guys. Im confused here. For the virtual vocal vst instruments, can I create and play my own melodies? Or am I limited to the pre-recorded phrases? This worries me. I don't wanna buy a product if I can't create my own melodies from scratch. Wish there was more info on these instruments, or a trial option.

    You can do your own melodies but not with custom lyrics. They have the general vowels and such things, but good luck finding anything that lets you define your own lyrics.

    Im referring to the virtual vocals. Such as Glaze, Vocalise, etc. Is it possible to create my own pre-composed melodies? Also wondering if there's a video demo of someone playing these programs (a la Dom Sigalas). I think that would be very useful, so I can get a better sense of the product.
