Unfortunately the controls don't work on the x1. It looks like they should but traktor isn't responding to anything I do on the X1.

If you went from setup mode to deck/mixer mode, the qml code for x1 already IS working, or would not have been able to even BE in one of those modes. That's really strange.

Okay, so, which are the version numbers of your used Traktor instances? Do you have any kind of qml mod installed or are you using freshly installed versions?

When you press play on the X1 with a track loaded nothing happens?

Total transparency…I don't know what a qml code is. The version of traktor I've got is a fresh install right out of Native Access 2. I've also dl the TX1MK3 firmware update version 3.16.0-win.

Interestingly, the only instance when he x1 tgives me control of (some) of the traktor controls is when im in "audio setup" and the audio device is set to:"Intel Smart Sound Technology for Digital Micrphones" this is the only instance where I can control parts of the x1. It will let me control most of the controls but not all in that setting. I do realize the x1 isn't a sound card, but I happened to figure this out by accident . It's sooooo weird.

I'm pretty close to sending it back. I mean it's a brand new unit, my laptop is 2 months all software is fresh

The audio setup does not affect the X1. Just switch the audio to the WASAPI Exclusive mode of your default soundcard. If you fiddle around with settings you will make it less likely that you will get this sorted.

When you load a track and press play, I need a photo of the Traktor main screen, with the mixer controls visible.

Also, when you say some controls work, and others don't - are you aware of the soft takeover?
