MASCHINE Library is showing double presets [ MAC ]

Hi guys,

Everything works so it's okay but the list is double as long and it takes twice as long to scroll down lists everytime, everything in the factory preset of MASCHINE is appearing twice…

I've tried uninstalling maschine and factory present uninstall + reinstall, it won't solve the issue. I've also tried to remove some other stuff like komplete Kontrol to see if it had an impact, but it doesnt..

I usually spend some time on google and things trying to fix issues, and I've spent some time, and all the available info isn't solving the issue so I guess something needs to be done here!

The link bellow is not helping / and this seems to be outdated info to be honest as it doesn't look like this on my latest Maschine 2 install on my computer, there are no komplete.db file (and yes I know how to toggle show invisible files or access them via terminal as well).

Any kind soul who can try to dig in and assist would enlight my day! Cheers!

    By the way it's important to mention that if I uninstall MASCHINE 2 Factory Library - I am able to only see one name in the list which is what I want… however, if I then want to load the sounds, it's not possible anymore…

    So basically I need the Maschine 2 Factory Library but somehow somewhat the presets are already populating in the list even before having the Factory Library… Hope you get it /Thanks

    Hello,

    Just curious. Is it your ENTIRE factory preset library, or just certain kits from certain expansions?

    I know I have a couple that, for whatever reason, just come with a twin. No discernible difference in the duplicate or the way it behaves during playback.

    hmmm it's everything actually, the entire factory presets and also some extensions …

    feels like one preset is just empty and the other which has the same name contains the sound

    Is there any pattern to the empty Vs "full" ones? For instance, is the first instance always empty and the second one full (with the sound/kit)?

    Also, are you loading up full kits or individual sounds? Not that it matters for seeing duplicates, just curious of your troubleshooting flow during this.

    Also, are you on Mac? Win? What OS version?

    and I manage to solve the issue when I relaunch Maschine but it only last a couple of seconds… after a bit, all the doubles are populating….. argggghh too good to be true :/

    Some things can be redundant, for example Kontakt Factory Selection is a smaller version of the Kontakt Factory Lib. Same goes for the Maschine Factory Selection.

    Right Click one preset and select "open in finder/explorer", do the same for the dupe and see if theres 2 different paths and inspect their names.

    Hi D-One, thanks for trying to help out, if I do as you've asked, the first one in the list seems to be a "ghost" or an alias or something since it doesn't redirect me anywhere when I right-click and do show in finder, nothing occurs, but if I do it on the second one in the list (the second of any item) then I am redirected to the right place with the right path
