I attempted to load the “Taste The Fury” library from Sample Logic LLC, into the Kontakt 8 stand alone app. The directions said to load it through the Kontakt file browser, but in doing so, I inadvertently clicked on the image file that was in the folder instead of the library.
The artwork of “The Fury” appeared in the Kontakt library window.
Next I tried to click on the “correct” library folder, hoping that it would replace the artwork, and fix the situation, but that did not work.
Next I noticed that as a result of what I had just done, I could no longer hear any sounds from the stand alone Kontakt app no matter what other library I clicked on in the app.
Then I reinstalled Kontakt 8 from the Native app. But that did not solve the problem.
Also, I had a problem with missing files when I tried to use Kontakt 8 in my Cubase DAW, but I was able to tell Kontakt to locate the files. The Kontakt 8 plug-in seems to be working again now.
My concern is that now I cannot get any sounds from the stand alone version of Kontakt 8. Can anyone please advise me what I need to do in order to restore Kontakt 8 to its original working state? I’m relatively new to Kontakt, so I greatly appreciate any help that you can provide.
