Should I upgrade to Kontakt 8 while on a KK 61 MK II?

Hi all,
I´m new to this forum, and I sincerely hope that this question hasn´t been asked too many times already. I´ve done a good search round before I decided to write a question on my own.

Here´s the question/s:
I´m using a Komplete Kontrol S 61 MK 2 and I think Kontakt 8 looks great. I do understand the direct link to Kontakt 8 via my keyboard is not possible, but I can load the instruments through Komplete Kontrol - like I do now even in the future I suppose.
But does this lack of integration mean I should stay clear of updating to Kontakt 8 altogether as my keyboard does not support the direct "link"? Could I through Komplete Kontrol still get access to the new features in Kontakt 8, and in some way also control actions from my keyboard? …or is Kontakt 8 just a no go?

    Hello,

I've recently updated to Kontakt 8 and absolutely LOVE it!! I'm finding very useful and creative ways to utilize the new features in conjunction with some other 3rd party apps and plugins.

I'm running Kontakt 8 through Maschine software and Logic Pro 11 using an MK3 Maschine and M32 Keyboard and don't feel like I'm missing out at all.

As a matter of fact, I'm contemplating updating my M32 to an S series MK3 for further integration.

I'm sure using the hardware in tandem with the software makes for a more efficient workflow, but the addition of the new Tools in Kontakt 8 was enough perk my interests and expedite my decision to purchase.

Haven't looked back and do not regret my decision, for what its worth.

Thanks for the swift answer. :)
I assume using the Kontakt 8´s new features would work anyway - regardless of which keyboard I´m using. I mean…I have used Kontakt for longer than I´ve had my KK keyboard. I was just concerned that I would upgrade to something that is custom made solely for the Mk III.
