I really appreciate what the Kontrol S Mk3 keyboards offer as far as hands-on interaction with presets and VST parameters. Credit to NI for advancing physical control of virtual instruments.
However, I'm not a keyboard player. I use hardware and software sequencers for getting notes into my DAW. Sometimes I directly write notes into Ableton's piano roll.
Would NI ever consider a keyboard-less version of the Kontrol hardware? I’d be quite happy with a desktop module that reflects the upper portion of the current S series keyboards. It would give any DAW user hands-on sound design and preset switching/filtering. Kind of like some manufactures offer both a desktop and keyboard version of their hardware synths.
Any chance NI would make something like this? (Or make it again considering the Kore hardware that existed years ago).
Thanks!
