Komplete Kontrol S MK2 61 key - feedback loop?

This problem has arisen recently. When accessing any plugin, whether NI or not, the audio is distorted. It does not matter whether I use a plugin standalone or in a DAW (I use Logic Pro). I note that in Dorico, which has a MIDI indicator light in the lower right of the window, the light is always on if the keyboard is on. MIDI information is going into the program (I can hear it playing the patch), but no note input. I thought this was a Dorico issue, but it was suggested that I have some sort of MIDI feedback loop.

None of this occurs when I unplug the NI keyboard and plug in another keyboard. Is there some setting on the NI keyboard that I have inadvertantly made? Any thoughts would be welcome.

Thanks for the response. I have resolved the issue by disconnecting the sustain and expression pedals. The keyboard worked fine after that, and it continued to work after reconnecting them. I must have had some sort of "stuck signal."

    Hello,

check all your settings for midi devices inputs and outputs, does it also happen with kontakt stand alone. Also a midi monitor program could help out in this case. I'm not a mac user so I can't recommend a midi monitor but if you google it you sure will find one for mac, it will show you exactly what's going on midi wise.

Thanks for the tip, I will investigate the MIDI monitor. The "grunginess" of the sound happens with Komplete running standalone as well as in a DAW, and it happens with standalone Keyscape as well as other plugins. unplugging the keyboard and plugging in a different one removes the issue. The activity light in Dorico is always on with the KK keyboard, which suggest some extra information is constantly being sent.

That's why a midi monitor is useful. Have you checked the midi inputs and outputs in Kontakt s and alone settings, maybe make a picture and upload it here.
