What do I mean by intrusive:
- Beat grid markers are currently displayed in the mini waveform as big white flags, fighting for attention and visibility with the cues. On tracks with a lot of grid markers, it can actually be kind of tough to find cues, when they are overlapped by a bunch of white markers
- Grid markers are counted in the "time to next cue" info in the track deck, making the function mostly useless when grid markers are in certain positions
Both of these behavior could be optional. SHOULD be optional, really. I can't even think of a good reason to make the current behavior for #2 standard.
Another way to deal with the markers in the mini waveform would be to make them always appear BEHIND proper cues. Or have the flags at the bottom of the waveform instead of at the top, like the cues. Or make them transparent...
