Battery 4 is Producing a "Flanging" Effect Like 2 Events Occurring at the Same Time

Hey Gang,

Guys, I've got a peculiar problem with Bat 4. On my snare, the louder velocities are creating that kind of flanger sound that you get sometimes when you accidentally have 2 or more identical events play at the exact same time. So, the fix is simple, at least it was in Sonar. I would just look at the Event List editor like you would a spreadsheet and find the duplicate. You could even create a filter to find it. But that's not the problem here. There are no dups. There WAS a dup of the same note # on another pad, but I changed the note # assignment so it was out of range of ANY notes I'm using, but I still have the problem. And since it's a velocity issue, I was looking at some of the ASDR settings. I played with them, but I wasn't hearing any changes. Now, 1 more troubleshooting trick I just tried. I moved that sample down to the D row, and muted it. Then, I replaced the original snare with a non-Battery sample, and it worked great. Even on the pad where I used the original sample to create a flam. I manually created a flam with the 2nd sample, and it works great. So, what could be causing that funky flanging noise?

    Hello Jeremy,

I apologize for not getting back to you, but I finally found the issue. For some reason SO7 was creating extra note events when unintended. I finally found the culprit.

It's hard to know. Can you reproduce that in any kit? In a brand new one? It definitely sounds like some kind of MIDI loop or duplicate MIDI notes/

Thanks again, Jeremy. And, NO, I can't reproduce it. The sample wasn't like that when I started using that kit that I created. It IS a Battery 4 native sample (no pun intended), while the 1 I'm using now is NOT. So, I think it was just some button I accidentally pushed that had to do with the synthesis (ASDR functions). One reason I believe that is bcuz there's a lick near the end of this tune where I used a flam that was created with that Articulator on Battery. When it plays it sounds like a science-fiction Phaser shot, and I'm 90% certain it's caused by a high velocity trigger. But I checked all those switches
