Playing over loops

Rookie question ;) I have Kontrol S61. I want to select and trigger a drum loop, and then play keys (ie Alicia's Keys) over the top, just for practice. I'm hoping to do it without my DAW (one less thing to open up). Can anyone help me with this? TIA
