Is there ever going to be a normal program increment/decrement function in Kontakt

There really needs to be a simple up/down program change function like what is used in the uHe synths like Diva, Hive, Zebra etc. It's so easy to use with a simple "press the up arrow to go back, press the down arrow to go forward."

Kontakt is so fiddly, you have to position the cursor over the small triangle .NKI change buttons. Really this shouldn't be that hard.

Just a suggestion (also maybe a function change the snapshot settings with say the left cursor and right cursor buttons.

Ok, thanks for clearing that out. There are alot of little triangles in there, now I get it. I'll forward it to the devs.

Thanks for the input, I will forward your comments to the developers as a feature request. Could you clarify, include screenshots or a video to make it clearer? Especially that part: "you have to position the cursor over the small triangle .NKI change buttons"

Basically I want to increment/decrement the current program WITHOUT using the mouse at all. A good example of this is the way uHe VST synths work. Whatever sound you're currently on, you press the up or down arrow to get the next or previous sound. It's pretty self-explanatory.

If your cursor is currently not right over the change program triangle shown in the first picture, you have to grab the mouse, carefully position it over the triangle and then click.

With the uHe synths, you just press the up or down arrow on your keyboard, and you could even assign that to a MIDI key if you wanted to.

    i agree

kontakt is a ball ache to browse presets

there are so many different ways to browse presets but all are flawed. we only need one way that works. its an absolute mess.

in the browser, we have to double click each preset, why cant we just press once? maschine has an option to load presets from the exact same libraries with one click of the mouse. or even use the qwerty arrow keys like the original poster suggested. massive x also suffers from the same problem but it never used to, somewhere down the line it was changed to require a double click.

a previous/next button in the browser would help

also, add tags to the new side browser as its pretty useless without them and we still have to keep going back and forth between different screens to browse by category.

for the industry standard for third party sample libraries you would think a big company like ni would get it right after all of these years.

uhe know what they are doing and listen to users feedback. i wish ni software was as smooth and user friendly. ni's graphics feel so sluggish and the loading times are so slow

    • Could the development team consider implementing a straightforward up/down program change function similar to what is available in uHe synths, How feasible would it be to add keyboard shortcuts or arrow key navigation for easy access to program changes?
