Pro 4 freezing - October 2024

Hi everyone,

During a live gig over the weekend, my Traktor S4 froze twice, giving me the dreaded spinning wheel of death 💀. I’m using a MacBook M1 Max, so I doubt it’s a hardware issue.

Fortunately, I had RCA cables connected from the S4 to my MacBook’s headphone jack, allowing me to finish the wedding set via Spotify. The crowd didn’t notice, but I definitely felt the pressure.

It seems the hardware sound card drivers were still functioning, but the Traktor software itself crashed. I couldn’t force quit Traktor since that would have stopped Spotify, and with a packed dance floor, that wasn’t an option.

After using Traktor for 10 years, I’ve never encountered this issue before, but now I’m nervous about using it live.

Just to recap:

- Traktor froze

- Everything else on the laptop (Spotify, Chrome, Finder) was working fine

- RCA connected to deck D worked fine

- Mic connected to deck C also worked fine

Has anyone else experienced this? Any insights would be appreciated.

    Sometimes certain crahses generate crashlogs, if it wasnt your case I suggest you reaching out to our support team so we can have a look in your computer and check what could have triggered this action.

    Heyo!

    When the crash happened did it generated any crashlog that you could upload here? Has it happened recently again?

    How do I generator crash/log report..?

    Never had to do this before
