how to trigger individual tracks within a Kontakt Rack w an external midi keyboard in Ableton

Newbie question:

I’m just starting to use Kontakt multi-outs within Ableton.
I’m able to set up the separate channels on a six channel rack, and can play these in individual stereo pairs using the built-in keyboard within Kontakt.

But I can’t get my MIDI keyboard (LaunchKey Mini) to trigger the individual tracks in Ableton. Only the first track which is the Kontakt rack.

The other channels don’t respond, only channel 1, where the rack resides.

Any suggestions on how to record / trigger the individual tracks would be appreciated!

Well, in a multi every instrument will answer to a different MIDI channel, so you can either:

1. Change the MIDI channel on the keyboard.
2. Change the MIDI channel in the Ableton MIDI tracks.
