Traktor cannot find local music library after updates to macOS Seqouia 15.0.1

Hi,

I am having a problem with Traktor Pro 4 since upgrading to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 on my MacBook Air. When I click to refresh music playlists, it is refusing to read the library and showing the following error message:

Could not open ITlibrary! Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4097”connection to service named com.apple.amp.library.framework”UserInfo={NSDebugDes…

I appreciate that Traktor Pro 4 does not yet support macOS Sequoia but this wasn’t a problem prior to the latest update.

Is anyone else experiencing this same error and can anyone advise how best to fix it? I was able to tick “use legacy XML iTunes library” in “file management” in the settings and this does bring my music library back. However, when I click “sync song info” none of the track ratings are imported to Traktor and this is essential for the way I organise my tracks.

Any advice would be most welcome and thanks.

I still use Sonoma on my Macs - for a reason. Therefore I cannot confirm or deny this issue myself. As you recognized by yourself Traktor Pro 4 isn't supported on macOS 15 Sequoia at the time being.

You had macOS Sequoia 15.0.0 installed prior to 15.0.1 and it worked there? Or did you the upgrade from Sonoma directly to 15.0.1? Even if the update from 15.0 to 15.0.1 is a minor update it is possible that Apple changed something in the Apple Music library file which isn't compatible with Traktor Pro.

You have a (Time Machine) backup of your old library with mac 15.0? If yes try to restore that and try if it works again.

Thanks for your reply maniacintosh, appreciated.

To be fair, this could have been an issue since the update to Sequoia 15.0.0, I am not entirely sure. I will try and revert to a previous Time Machine backup and see how that goes.

Does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes NI to update Traktor to work with the latest macOS or is this a case of how long is a piece of string? Cheers…
